What types of vehicles can I use EROAD Locate with?

What is OBD2?

OBD, short for on-board diagnostics is an automotive industry term and refers to the vehicle’s diagnostic and reporting capability. Most modern vehicles have an OBD2 (also known as OBDII) port, where diagnostic scanners can be plugged in to ‘read’ data from the vehicle. It can provide a range of details, including engine RPM, state-of-charge, temperature, speed, fuel levels and fault codes.

Does my car have an OBD2 port?

Most modern vehicles including cars (and EVs), vans, utes, and trucks will have an OBD2 port, often located under the dashboard near the steering wheel, but they can also be located on the passenger side. The exact location will vary depending on your vehicle make and model.
