EROAD launches WEX and Shell fuel card integration in Australia

EROAD customers in Australia can now choose to connect their WEX and Shell fuel card accounts into the EROAD fleet management platform.

The EROAD Fuel Tax Credit (FTC) solution is already helping Australian fleets claim back thousands in rebates - commission free. Now, customers also have the option to connect their fuel card accounts, making it even easier to bring fuel transaction data into their FTC reporting.

WEX and Shell are among Australia’s leading commercial fuel card providers. By bringing fuel, vehicle, driver and operations data together, fleet operators spend less time chasing transactions and more time building insights to help drive down fuel costs.

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has confirmed via Class Ruling 2024/39 that the EROAD FTC report generated solution using the Ehubo device can be relied upon as an official record for FTC purposes.

With the addition of the fuel card integration customers can automatically capture fuel purchases and seamlessly match fuel volumes with telematics records. That means less manual handling, fewer opportunities for missed transactions and more complete Business Activity Statements (BAS).

Better visibility of fuel use and efficiency

Once fuel card data is connected, customers can use MyEROAD reporting to:

• Compare fuel usage across vehicles
• Benchmark performance by make and model
• Review fuel use by vehicle, driver or fleet
• Identify unusual usage patterns and investigate potential inefficiencies
